Josep Montserrat appointed Chair of the Tony Cowling Foundation
The Tony Cowling Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Josep Montserrat as Chair, effective from 2 April 2026.
Since joining the Board, Josep has already made a significant contribution to the Foundation, helping to shape its strategic direction and strengthen its plans for the future. His appointment marks an important next step as the Foundation continues its work to support innovation, leadership and positive progress across the market research and insights industry.
Josep brings more than 30 years of international leadership experience across professional services, data, insights and analytics. As a former Global CEO, he has led and transformed businesses operating in both corporate and private equity environments, with particular expertise in sustainable growth, international expansion, strategic transformation, mergers and acquisitions and leadership development.
Today, Josep works with Boards, CEOs, shareholders and investment funds, providing independent judgement and senior executive guidance during periods of growth, transition and significant strategic decision-making.
Alongside his role at the Tony Cowling Foundation, he serves as a Board Director and Vice-Chairman at CSM and CTR in China, sits on the Advisory Board of Grupo Durania and has supported biotechnology company Cebiotex as an Executive Board Advisor. He is also a Vistage Chair, working directly with CEOs, business owners and senior leaders to strengthen decision-making, accelerate growth and improve performance.
His international perspective, deep understanding of the insights sector and extensive experience of corporate governance will be invaluable as the Foundation enters its next chapter.
